Treasures from Heaven

Welcome to Treasures from Heaven, where friends can meet over a cup of tea or coffee and share thoughts, insights, concerns or just about anything friends share with one another, but especially those things concerning the Lord Jesus Christ and our faith in him. I read a book several years ago by Anne Morrow Lindbergh, "A Gift from the Sea". Anne speaks in this book that we must wait for things to come to us as waiting for a gift from the sea, much like waiting upon the Lord for His perfect timing when He moves in our lives. We all experience those times when we have to wait and wait for the Lord to move, and then 'Suddenly', there it is! Wow! And it was so worth the wait! Thus our logo of sand and seashells holding a the cup of coffee or tea. Treasures from Heaven originated in 2000 as an online book store, selling Christian books and other items. I paused the website for a few years and at the prompting of the Holy Spirit am re-awakening it, for "such a time as this"! We will not be selling books at this time, but we look forward to sharing books and information with you and look forward to hearing from you about what you are reading and learning. Treasures from Heaven really began several years ago, when I experienced a vision of a vault filled with jewels and treasures. I truly thought the devil was showing this to me and I rebuked him immediately. But...I couldn't shake the vision, so I asked the Lord to show me if it was from Him. As many of us have done, I just opened the Bible right to these scriptures:

Proverbs 8:17-21 (KJV) 17. I love them that love me; and those that seek me early shall find me.18. Riches and honour are with me; yea, durable riches and righteousness.19. My fruit is better than gold, yea, than fine gold; and my revenue than choice silver. 20. I lead in the way of righteousness, in the midst of the paths of judgment, 21. That I may cause those that love me to inherit substance; and I will fill their treasures.

Of course, I realized this vision was from the Lord, and as time went by I learned that a wise person is one who is a person of substance, always growing in the knowledge of God and in relationship with Him, standing on His promises, and always seeking and benefitting from His treasures from heaven. It has nothing to do with worldly goods! And, by the way, the scriptures before these show us this is wisdom speaking. Now, we are never wise in our own making, but only in our understanding of the Lord and by what He imparts to us, hopefully not only benefitting ourselves, but others as well. Thank you for joining us on this journey of seeking God's wisdom and His riches!

....but the Spirit giveth life! I Corinthians 3:6
